Hilary Rose McAlister has been teaching and choreographing for over 10 years. Growing up, Hilary studied under CeCe Farha whose focus on technique helped open many doors for her. In 1999, Hilary was asked to be a featured dancer in the University of Central Oklahoma's production of GREASE choreographed by Machel Harwell. She has also had the opportunity to work with Lynn Cramer in Jewel Box Theater's production of Bye Bye Birdie. Hilary went on to attend UCO where she was a dance major and was privileged to study under Hui Cha Poos, Robyn Pasternack, Jamie Jacobson, Tina Kambour and Richard Denson. While attending UCO, she was a featured dancer in the production of She Loves Me and assisted at several OKLAdance conventions. She has had the privilege of studying at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway for intensive summer training and has had the opportunity to take from some of today's most valued teachers in the industry.

Hilary is currently one of the artistic directors of Soul De Soul, a Contemporary  Dance Workshop and is the director of Tearstained Dance Company. Tearstained is a company of professional dancers in the metro area who use dance to express and share their voice through the beautiful of dance. Hilary comes alive when she choreographs which she has received several honors for.

Hilary gives all the glory and honor to the Lord. She is humbled that He has given her this gift. She hopes to share the Lords delight for dance and longs for the Lord to touch people's hearts through her choreography. She loves Studio J and feels blessed to be a part of it. She also owes many thanks to her precious husband and little boy who give her love, support and the freedom to be a Free Spirit chasing after her dreams.
