Friday Update 12/4/2020

Hello Everyone!

There's a lot to get to this week, so please be sure to read all the way through!

___________________________________________________________________

It's performance weekend!!! We are so excited to see you dance for Jesus this weekend at our Christmas Celebration! Once again, here are the details...

Dec 5 & 6 – Studio J PAC Christmas Celebration

Where to go...

Mitch Park Amphitheater

(See attached map.)

What your dancer will wear…

ALL dancers will be wearing anything black along with winter hats and gloves/mittens – any color, any style. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR LEOTARDS or regular dance attire!!! Leggings, sweats, shirts, hoodies, sweaters, fleece, etc. are all just fine…and be sure to layer up for this outdoor event! Dancers should wear street shoes until seated, then they should change into the appropriate dance shoes for their performance. They will also be permitted to wear coats or wrap up in blankets until they line up to perform and then put them back on after.

***If you pre-ordered a Christmas Sweatshirt they will be available for pickup at the studio until end of day today, December 4, and then brought to Mitch Park on performance day.

When to arrive…

Please arrive 20 mins before your scheduled showtime to allow yourself time to walk from the parking lot and find a spot to set up your lawn chairs and blankets. We will be running several shows back to back, so we do ask that you clear all of your belongings following each show to allow the next group of families to get situated.

New Covid Precautions for Show Time…

Rather than being seated in classes, all dancers will be seated with parents until it is their turn to perform in order to limit contact with other students. We recommend bringing a beach towel or small blanket for your dancer to sit on while waiting. We will call them to the stage in the order of performance (see attached show order), so please be listening and have your dancers ready to go when called. Keep in mind, this performance is intended for a smaller audience of immediate family only (grandparents welcome) and we encourage you sit in socially distant groupings with your own family. As always, masks are encouraged, and we do ask that you not attend if you or a family member with whom you reside is sick. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as the holiday season is upon us!

Special Treat…

We so excited to have Tasty Snow at our Christmas Celebration. All performers will get a free hot chocolate or hot apple cider! They will also have their winter menu available for purchase as well…Beignets and Caramel Apple Bowl, YUMMY! Make sure you don’t forget to visit the Mitch Park ice rink that day too!

In-Studio Covid-19 Policy Update

Due the continuing rising Covid numbers, we will begin implementing some additional measures in order to keep our staff and families safe and healthy leading up to Christmas Break. Out of an abundance of caution, all students in Elementary classes and older (6yrs and up) will be required to wear a mask in studio at all times. We understand that this may difficult for some of you, so you will have the option to participate in class virtually through the Band App instead of attending in person for the next two weeks. These are TEMPORARY measures intended to protect our performing arts community and stay open as a business and we greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

If you have not yet joined your classes Band App, please respond to this email and the link will be resent to you.
