Happy National Dance Day (and Pizza Day)!
We’ve had such a wonderful second week of classes at Studio J! Dancers are settling in, making new friends, and filling our studios with joy and energy.
Don’t forget — we are still collecting family photos for our Family Photo Wall. Please reply to this email with a digital copy or drop off a 4×6 photo at the front desk so we can add your family to the display.

Saturday, September 20th is both National Dance Day and National Pepperoni Pizza Day — and we couldn’t think of a better combo!
In ballet class, our littlest dancers practice Port de Bras (which means “carriage of the arms”) by making a pizza with their arms.
Celebrate this weekend with a little ballet and a little pizza—it’s the perfect recipe for fun!

Next Week’s Theme: Bring Your Stuffies to Class!
Get ready for Snuggle Buddy Week! Dancers are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal to class next week. Teachers will include “stuffies” in class activities—expect extra smiles, cuddles, and creativity as our furry friends join in the fun!
Community Spotlight: Partnering with Peppers Ranch
We are so excited to continue our partnership with Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community this year!
For the month of September, Studio J will be collecting dance clothing and shoes to bless the dancers at Peppers Ranch. We are accepting:
Tights - Leotards - Shorts & leggings - Ballet skirts - Ballet Shoes - Jazz shoes
If you’d like to contribute, please place your items in the donation bin in the lobby. Thank you for helping us share the joy of dance with others in our community!
Parking Lot Safety Reminder
We want to keep our Studio J families safe! Please help us by following these guidelines when entering and exiting the parking lot:
No parking in fire zones → marked with red curbs. These areas must remain clear at all times.
Curbside parking → allowed only if you are not blocking another vehicle and there is still room for traffic to flow freely.
Drop-off zone → located by the stop sign on the map. This area is for quick drop-offs only. Please do not wait here to pick up your dancer.
Busy times → The lot can be congested when classes let out. Please be patient—traffic clears quickly once everyone is on their way.
Your cooperation keeps our dancers, families, and staff safe. Thank you for helping us create a smooth and positive experience for everyone!
National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)
We’re excited to kick off another year of NHSDA at Studio J! Open to dancers in grades 6–12, NHSDA recognizes outstanding achievement in dance while offering leadership, service, and performance opportunities.

This year’s NHSDA members will choreograph special numbers for the Christmas Show (Dec 6), help at the Daddy-Daughter Dance (Nov 15), and join in other community events.
