What an amazing first week of Season 22!
We were so happy to welcome everyone back into the studio this week. Seeing familiar faces, meeting new families, watching dancers reconnect with friends, and feeling the energy in our classrooms reminded us just how special the Studio J community is.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for choosing to spend another season with us. We are so excited about the year ahead!
And speaking of family...we still want your pictures!
If you haven't brought in your 4x6 family photo yet, it's not too late! Email with your favorite family picture to Info@studiojdanceok.com, or send a hard copy with your dancer this week. Bonus points for a dance picture!
Our goal is to showcase all of our Studio J families in the lobby as we celebrate the incredible people who make up our 22nd season.

Daddy-Daughter Ballet Ball – October 3rd
One of our most magical events of the season! The Daddy-Daughter Ballet Ball returns:
Saturday, October 3rd from 1:00-3:00 and 4:00-6:00!
All ages are welcome! We will have refreshments, dancing, and picture opportunities. We had a ball last year and cannot wait to see everyone this year! Tickets go on sale on September 20th. Purchase Tickets Here!
This Week: “Who Are You?”
Now that we've celebrated our families, it's time to get to know our Studio J family!
Our theme for the week of September 21 is:
“Who Are You?” — Name Games!
Teachers will be incorporating fun activities into classes to help dancers learn names, make connections, and get to know the people they're sharing the studio with this season.
Friendships are one of our favorite parts of dance, and we love creating opportunities for those relationships to begin!
We Are Going Back to Disney World!!
We are SO excited to announce that Studio J is going to Disney World in October 2027!
Dancers ages 7 and older will have the opportunity to dance on stage at Disney, and dancers ages 10 and older will also have the opportunity to dance in the Main Street Parade!
We would love for your dancer—and your whole family—to join us for this unforgettable Studio J adventure!
Disney Information Meetings
Saturday, September 19 at 9:00 AM

You only need to attend one meeting. We'll go over the general itinerary, pricing information, important dates, and other trip details.
Whether you've traveled to Disney with Studio J before or this would be your first time, we hope you'll come learn more!
NHSDA
We are excited to invite your dancer to be part of Studio J’s Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) this season!
NHSDA is a great opportunity for dancers in grades 6–12 to grow as artists and leaders while being recognized for their dedication and involvement in dance. Throughout the season, students will earn points through dance classes, performances, workshops, service opportunities, leadership, and other dance-related activities.
Who can participate?
• Junior NHSDA: Grades 6–8
• Secondary NHSDA: Grades 9–12
Students who meet the NHSDA requirements will be eligible for induction in January.
Requirements:
• Complete application form (link below)
•At least a 3.8 GPA (or equivalent) in the 2025- 2026 school year
• Currently enrolled in dance classes at Studio J
• $25 annual dues
If your dancer is interested in joining, please complete this form by Thursday, September 24th.
This year’s NHSDA members will choreograph and dance in a special number for the Christmas Show (Dec 5), help at the Daddy-Daughter Dance (Oct 3), and join in other community events.
We are excited to offer this opportunity to our dancers and look forward to seeing them grow both in dance and as leaders!
First Week Heads-Up!
Thank you for your patience during our very busy first week!
Our parking lot and lobby can be especially busy during class-change times, so please continue to give yourself a little extra time for drop-off and pick-up.
Please remember to keep the red curb/fire lanes clear, do not use handicap spaces for drop-off, and use the drop-off lane for active drop-off and pick-up only—not waiting or parking.
