Studio J strives to make things as easy as possible for busy families. We do this by streamlining our recital and costume fees into a monthly performance fee. Our dance season runs like a standard school year, beginning in September. Program rates are based on the total season’s program, not a specific number of classes within a month, and are conveniently divided into nine equal payments.

Dance Rates (2023-2024 Season):

30 minute class $40/per payment (Sept.-May)

45 minute class $57/per payment (Sept.-May)

60 minute class $71/per payment (Sept.-May)

Performance fee is $15 for 1st class & $9.50 for each additional recital class/ per month (Sept.-May)

Theater Class Rates (includes production fee):

Take A Bow $85/per payment (Sept.-May)

Save on class tuition with our “Multi” Discount. Save 5% on two classes when you register for more than one class or more than one child per family.

Studio J PAC reserves the right to alter this schedule by adding, dropping, or adjusting any class times, but only if absolutely necessary. We will notify affected clients of these changes by email.

Students who enroll mid-season will be charged monthly performance fees from the start of the season and a $35 enrollment fee upon registration.  (Recital costs are not affected by late enrollment and must still be paid from the beginning of the season.) Tuition will be pro-rated based on the date of enrollment.

Private Lessons

Studio J offers private lessons to individuals and small groups.  Payment is due at the time of the private lesson payable to Studio J School of Dance.  All cancellations or reschedules require a 24-hour notice.  Privates missed without 24-hour notice or no-show will result in charge of the full price of the scheduled service.  Multiple no-shows will result in the denial of bookings.

Private Lesson Pricing:

1 Dancer- $55 per hour
2 Dancer- $35 per hour per dancer
3+ Dancers- $30 per hour per dancer

It is imperative that you read and understand all of the Studio J PAC policies and procedures before enrolling. Accepting these policies, which can be found on our website,, under the INFO tab and during the enrollment process, is part of enrollment. Before registering for any classes, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies.

Class sizes are limited and fill up quickly. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A registration fee is due at the time of enrollment to hold your child’s spot. For these reasons, you may wish to register as soon as you know your fall schedule. Once registration is received, a place will be reserved for you. Holding your spot may prevent others from joining the class, so please notify the studio immediately if you need to change or drop a class. Registration/Enrollment fees are non-refundable.

Military Discount:

We offer a 10% military tuition discount for active-duty families. Please email us to request this discount.

Automatic Payment Plan:

For those families preferring to pay monthly, accounts will be set up on a convenient Automatic Payment Plan. Fees will be withdrawn on the 5th of every month. At the time of registration, you will choose to have your Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express automatically charged for the remaining payments.

If, for any reason, you need to cease your year's tuition obligation to Studio J, submit a written notice to the office by the 15th of the month prior to when you plan to discontinue. Once notification has been received, your Automatic Payment Plan will be inactivated. You will not receive a refund for classes you did not attend if you discontinue in the middle of the month.

PLEASE NOTE - There is no such thing as taking a month off. Tuition payments are for a portion of the season, not a specific month of lessons, and a space is reserved for your child in a particular class based on this schedule. Therefore, tuition payments will be charged regardless of whether you attend the scheduled class or until we receive your written discontinuation notice.

SJ offers no refunds, deductions, or credits for missed or discontinued classes. You may, however, attend a make-up class if you must miss your own due to illness or other circumstances. Although the studio will be closed for some holidays during the dance season, these are not paid classes and do not need to be made up. Students must complete the entire dance year to receive their recital costumes.
