Season 22 News: #8 October 31, 2026
November is here, and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, we've been thinking about all the things we have to be thankful for. At the top of our list is our Studio J family!
One of the things we hope our dancers learn during their time at Studio J is that the gifts God gives us aren't just for ourselves. We can use them to encourage others, show kindness, and make a difference in the world around us.
This season, we've made it a goal to find a simple way to give back to our community each month. Sometimes that means collecting food, sometimes it's helping a local organization, and sometimes it's simply encouraging our dancers to look for someone who needs a little extra kindness. These are always opportunities to participate, never obligations.
And speaking of opportunities, our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser begins Monday, November 2 at 5:00 PM! This fundraiser is a little different because it directly benefits your own family! Dancers earn 50% of their popcorn sales to help with their own dance expenses. It's an easy way to share delicious popcorn with friends and family while helping cover dance costs. We have lots to look forward to this month, and we're thankful to be sharing another season of dancing, growing, and giving with you!
This Week's Theme: Sox of Love!
This week, we're sharing a little extra love through Sox of Love, a local nonprofit that helps provide socks to those in need.
If your family would like to participate, we're collecting new socks, still in their original packaging, at the studio throughout the week of November 2–6.
Their greatest needs right now are:
Women's socks
Girls' socks
Diabetic socks
Simply bring a package to class and drop it off in our lobby collection area.
Participation is completely optional! We know our families give in so many different ways, and we're thankful for every act of kindness, big or small.
We love giving our dancers opportunities to see how something as simple as a pair of socks can help care for someone in our community.

Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser Is Almost Here!
Get ready, Studio J families! Our Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser is right around the corner, and we're excited to kick things off!

Through Monday, November 9 at 5:00 PM
We'll be selling Double Good's award-winning popcorn, and our dancers earn 50% of every sale!
The best part? Everything is done online! No collecting money, handling orders, or delivering popcorn. Simply set up your own pop-up store and share it with friends and family!

Our annual Studio J Christmas Sweatshirts are back! They're a fun and festive way to celebrate the season, and dancers can wear them as part of their Christmas Show attire!
We can't wait to share the beautiful story of Christmas and celebrate the greatest gift of all!
Disney World 2027!
Don't forget—Studio J is going back to Disney World in October 2027!
Dancers ages 7+ will have the opportunity to perform on stage at Disney, and dancers ages 10+ will also have the opportunity to dance in the Main Street Parade!

Second Semester Theatre Registration Opens November 1!
We're excited for another semester of theatre at Studio J! Whether your child is returning to the stage or trying theatre for the first time, we can't wait for another season of creativity, confidence, and fun!

Tutoring Tip from Edmond Learning Academy: Grades Have a Backstory
A grade tells part of your child’s learning story. Missing assignments or late-work deductions can affect a score without showing what your child understands. Before letting one number steal the show, ask: “Which skills can my child do independently, and which still need practice?” That gives you a clearer starting point for support.
