September Newsletter

Hello everyone!
We have loved having everyone back in the studio and can’t wait to welcome the rest of you next week!
Here are a few reminders:

Please keep these things in mind for the first couple of weeks:
Please write your dancer's name inside all of their shoes and remember to not wear them outside!
The first few weeks are a bit busy. Things will settle down as everyone gets into a routine.
The youngest dancers will often have tears or nerves during the first few weeks. This is normal. The teachers will work with you to figure out the best way to bring your child into class.
Please have your dancers use the restroom before class. This will help decrease the distraction of them coming in and out of the classroom.
Once the class has started, please do not enter the classroom without first speaking with the office staff.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to the office staff! We are here to help!
Lobby policy: We are excited to invite you into the lobby, but for safety reasons, we ask that you keep visitors to a minimum. Also, feel free to take this time to run errands and have some time to yourself!
Theme Months/Weeks: We hope to build a spirit of community at Studio J PAC, and one of the ways we do that is with our fun Theme Week activities. Sometimes these activities will be done entirely by the instructors in class, and sometimes we will need a little help from you! Please check on band each week to see what the theme is so your student doesn't miss out on the fun!
September themes:
Sept 7-16: It's a Family Thing - Submit your favorite 4x6 family picture (bonus points if it's a dance pic) to the studio for us to display! (Hard copy or emailed to info@studiojdanceok.com)
Sept 19-23: Who Are You? - Students will play name games in class to get to know each other
Sept 26-30: Music Madness (Piano) - Students will be learning about the piano this week and dancing to piano-focused songs!
Tuition Policy Reminder - Monthly tuition is set by dividing the yearly cost into 9 convenient installments, and then adding the performance fees. Breaks, weather cancellations, dress rehearsals, pictures, and performances have all been accounted for, so tuition will be the same each month Sept-May regardless of the number of classes in any given month.
Tuition runs on autopay on the 5th of the month. Tuition is due no later than the 15th, after which late fees will apply. If you need to drop a class, you MUST contact the office...you will continue to be charged until your drop is formally processed. Drops must be processed before the start of the next month or you will owe tuition for that month, even if you haven't attended a class. Thank you for your cooperation!
Just a reminder - Performance Fees are $15/month for your first class and $9.50 for each additional class and cover the cost of your Spring Recital charges including costume, 4 tickets, programs, awards, etc. These fees are non-refundable.
Epic Learning Fund - Unfortunately our application is still processing. We have reached out to Epic and have not heard back. We are hoping to have an update by September 13th so our families can make a decision regarding tuition.
