A Place to Belong

At Studio J, we believe the studio is more than a place to learn dance or theatre—it’s a place to belong. Whether your child is in a ballet class, a hip hop class, or part of our educational theatre program, they are learning what it means to be part of a supportive, encouraging community.

In class, dancers and performers build friendships, learn teamwork, and discover the joy of working toward a shared goal. They learn how to cheer one another on, show respect, and grow together—skills that matter on stage, in school, and throughout life.

With inclement weather expected this weekend, please be sure to reference our weather policy below for the most up-to-date information. As always, your family’s safety comes first—stay warm and safe!

Pom Clinic begins this Wednesday! We’re excited to kick off this opportunity for dancers preparing for the upcoming tryout season. Be sure to check the details below for registration and class times.

Studio J Company Show 2026 — It Is Well

We are honored to invite you to our Studio J Company Show 2026, It Is Well. Featuring our Studio J Companies — Squad, Crew, Junior Collective, and Collective — this powerful production is a reminder that we were created for such a time as this.

Through movement, courage, and purpose, our dancers step into a story bigger than themselves. This show celebrates their growth, their faith, and the journey ahead as we send them into their 2026 season.

Pom Prep Classes – Get Ready for Tryout Season!

Get ready for pom tryout season with Fire dancer Elena Manning! These exclusive Pom Prep classes are designed specifically for middle and high school dancers, with training that supports dancers as they prepare for upcoming pom tryouts.

Middle School: 7:15–8:15 PM $20 per class

High School: 8:15–9:45 PM $25 per class January 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25, & March 4

Register through the Parent Portal and click “Special Events.” Families may choose one date or attend all sessions.

Spots are limited, so we encourage you to register soon!

Weather Policy Reminder

Studio J generally follows the Edmond & Deer Creek Public School calendars for weather-related closings; however, there may be exceptions. Please check your email, band, and social media for the most up-to-date information on cancellations or delays.

Studio J has one snow day already built into the schedule. While we will provide make-up classes for weather-related closings whenever possible, they are not guaranteed.

As always, the safety of our dancers, families, and staff is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during inclement weather. Please stay safe and warm!

January Theme:

Dancing Through the Decades

This month at Studio J, we’re taking a fun journey through music from different decades!

Our dancers will begin with the 1950s and travel all the way through the 1980s, exploring how music styles have changed over time while bringing those sounds to life through movement. This theme adds creativity, variety, and excitement to classes as dancers connect rhythm, history, and expression in a meaningful way.

It’s a joyful way to kick off the new year and celebrate how dance evolves through every generation!

January 12th - 16th: Theme "Dancing Through the Decades: 60's"

January 19th - 23rd: Theme "Dancing Through the Decades: 70's"

January 26th - 30th: Theme "Dancing Through the Decades: 80's"
